jackass1.JPGJackass bitters (tres puntas) is a highly respected, extremely bitter, medicinal plant. It is antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, and antimicrobial. The entire plant is healing. Traditionally used to treat and prevent malaria, fungus, ringworm, amoebas, intestinal parasites, beef worm, head lice, skin sores and infections. It grows 1-4 m tall with yellow flowers. Tres puntas refers to the leaves having 3 distinct points. We find this plant in fields, pastures, clearings and edge of the forest. It’s strong taste supports the saying “the bitta the betta.” If you live in the tropics, it is beneficial to use it regularly. Feel a stomach bug; take a shot of jackass bitters. Prevention is the best strategy.
