Bright flame-orange. He catches my eye early this morning. This hooded oriole is one of hundreds of species of birds found here. Throughout the day, the chatter of parrots, parakeets, kiskadees, warblers, orioles and oropendulas echo in the wind. We had a filling breakfast. Oatmeal with raisins, finger bananas and honey. Finger bananas are so sweet they’re like candy and good old fashioned oats sure taste good. The sun was blaring by 9 am but we dug beds in the garden and planted seeds. The sprinklers felt refreshing and cool not only for the plants but for me too!oriole2.JPG
